How often a day do you look in a mirror? What does it tell you?
Somehow, the photos I share with you today caught my eye when working in Lightroom and they quite obviously are about reflection and mirroring. I had these rays of sunlight stunningly shining through clouds already in my last post. But now, they are mirrored in the Chobe river in Botswana.
The magic did not want to stop that day and I remember me standing there with my camera in hand speechless by the jaw-dropping sceneries I was just witnessing. I even completely forgot about the wild African animal kingdom around me that could potentially appear… elephants, buffalos, leopards, lions, hyenas to name a few :0).
To accompany my photographs I would like to add some quotes on that topic of mirror and reflection for you. I wonder what they spark in you.
“You use a glass mirror to see your face. You use works of art to see your soul.”
George Bernard Shaw
“Life is like a mirror. Smile at it and it smiles back at you.” Peace Pilgrim
“There are two ways of spreading light: to be the candle or the mirror that reflects it.” Edith Wharton
“They eyes are the mirror of the soul.” Proverb
A possible answer to my second question in the beginning might be this:
“Beauty is what you feel about yourself not about what you see in the mirror.” Geniusquotes.net
Keep smiling!
“Smile in the mirror. Do that every morning and you’ll start to see a big difference in your life.” Yoko Ono
Ooooh, dearest Daniela,
once again your photographs are jaw-droppingly magnificent and stunning! Nature presents itself as a piece of art and you managed to capture it so beautifully and in all its glory.
The quote by George Bernard Shaw really resonates with me. Thanks so much for sharing all these gems with the world. It is always such a joy to come here to this marvelous place you created. ✨💖✨

Lieber Roland
