Dear readers
How are you today?
Can you believe it is December and also the last month of this series on grapevines over the seasons? It has been such a journey for this awesome plant, don’t you agree? Feel free to wonder at it (all over again) by clicking on each month’s unveiling: October, September, August, July, June, May, April, March, February.
I got so lucky to see the beauty of a vineyard while it was snowing. Everything was so silent and magical in a very special way. I hope you can feel it, too, through this post.
It is quite impressive what the natural world has to endure over the seasons. From thunderstorms with heavy rain over hot dry summer days and cooling fog to freezing cold and snow covers.
So this is a time of rest. A time of calm. A time of restoration.
Nature draws back for some weeks during winter each year and being part of her, I find it a very good idea to follow that rhythm. Take time for yourself, look well after yourself, and go slow and mindful. The festive season is a perfect time to do so, isn’t it?
While we are at the end of the grapevines series, I plan to post one final story in January where I would like to put images over the seasons side by side. Stay tuned and thanks so much for your continued interest from all of us :0)!
Hello Daniela, author of this very interesting blog during the year 2019, about grapevines.
Liebe Gruess dady
