Do you often take a seat somewhere? Do you maybe have a favorite bench you go sit on regularly?
In any case, here comes an official invitation to have a seat, breathe, relax, and just be. Enjoy!
Aren’t these benches cute? Which one would you spontaneously sit on? The pink one decorated with dozens of lids, the rightmost one painted by children you would see the busy harbour of Hamburg from?
Louibach – Have a seat in complete tranquility and watch the stream flow. As a mountainous stream, the Louibach is refreshingly cold, but I tried the foot bath after hiking for several hours and it was a real treat.
Lake Neuchâtel – You can not only have a seat here but also go for a pleasant swim, which of course is true for all three lakes shown here.
Lake Maggiore – Take the awesome view from the Brissago Islands all in sitting on this nice bench.
Lake Zurich – It can be very busy, but if you are lucky, you find a moment like this and enjoy it almost all for yourself.
Placid restaurant patios are an option, too, and what’s more, you may enjoy it in good company and with good food.
Front of houses in villages are also so tempting in Switzerland…
But the chances are high you live in a city, as the majority of the world population lives in cities these days. Where is your favorite place to find a moment of stillness? If you do not have one yet, why not find a quiet – and even better – green space with a bench or alike to take a 10-minute timeout from your routine.
Look well after yourself and stay healthy!
