Doors

Doors have such a symbolic meaning. In life and in the world.

You never know which door will lead towards your dreams, until you have the courage to walk through it.

But they are also just so fascinating to look at. Only recently, I started to see them in a different light in that they caught my eye more and more and now I see gorgeous doors everywhere. Imagine they could talk to us. Would you sit down and listen?

Today you gonna see a choice of doors I found in Switzerland. Surely, I look forward to exploring doors elsewhere, too. This might even become a series, who knows.

These doors may lead into houses, shops, barns, wine cellars. Let your imagination flow and come up with your very own stories.
Already I wonder how you will discover doors in your neighborhood after reading through my blog and I would love to hear about your findings in the comments! Thanks so much in advance for sharing. I love to connect with you.

When you follow your bliss…
doors will open where you would not have thought there would be doors.

Joseph Campbell

Doors open and close in life, but we learn with time that while one closes another already waits to be opened. The same is true for the world, I think. Right now we seem to be in a phase in which many doors are closing for good and new ones are opening. Hopefully opening to a fair, equal, kind, authentic, soulful, and ecologically sound era.

We keep moving forward opening up new doors and doing new things, because we are curious…. and curiosity keeps us leading down new paths.

There are things known and things unknown and in between are the doors.

Doors are often made of wood, at least the old ones and those of barns, of course. I especially love the latter as you may have realised ;0).

Farmers would transport the hay under the rooftop of the barn with their tractors and therefore built a ramp especially for this. In many places it is not used anymore but is a reminder of the old ways this was done. Do you see how they made the door look like a house?

Dear readers, this was it for today. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did and I look forward to reading from your door discoveries in the comments.

People think that all the doors are opened in front of me, but it was me who pushed them open.

I have been a fan of doors for a long time. It comes from travel and the different shapes, sizes, and materials all tell a story. I’ve used it in the current novel I am working on and in some of my Instagram. You have some wonderful photos.
