Autumn has arrived fast this side of the planet and with it luckily not only the cooler temperatures and the shorter days, but also a softer light.
I thought to take you on a stroll to open spaces with me today and let you smell flowers, be amazed by the variety of colours, and look at a stunning fruit.
Sneakers on? Then let’s go :0)!

Peeking into other people’s gardens…

and sharing the joy of kite-flying with a mum and her little kids in the park. Have you ever seen a butterfly kite-flying? It was my first! So beautiful, isn’t it?

Purple, yellow, red, orange, green, nature still pampers us with her color splashes.

All of a sudden the eye-catching plant below appears in the hedges. It is the European spindle tree Euonymus europaea (German/Deutsch Europäisches Pfaffenhütchen). The combination of pink and orange and the elaborate form of its fruits are simply breathtaking. Do you agree?
Its fruits open up in September and October each year and the seeds are coated and protected by this vibrant orange layer. Have a look at the texture of it all. Mind-boggling.

I hope you can marvel at even more wonders in your neighborhood and enjoy the season you are in in your corner of the world.

Take care and enjoy,
Daniela
