You are a precious gift to me.

I look very much forward to more adventures and memorable encounters I gladly share with you next year. For now, I leave you with some splish, splash, splosh impressions 🤩of a spring tide at its peak.

P.S.: As you know, the sea means a LOT to me. So now, as if needed ;-), I found evidence why the ocean is that essential:

Delightful December

A warm welcome, dearest readers!

Many of you enjoy summer now, some of you experience warm temperatures and around twelve hours of daylight all year round, and a lot of us see the days rapidly getting shorter and the nights becoming longer at this time of the year.

That is why I thought to share a little collage of those long dark nights in December, which actually become quite sparkling and twinkling in our cities.

A little greeting from my neighbourhood

Hello my friends

How are you at the beginning of this new month? Can you believe it is already November? Where did that year go?

Today, I simply like to share some impressions of my neighbourhood while I am recovering from surgery (phew, so happy all went well and it now lies behind me!).

I visit this place regularly and love to go there with my bike, for a stroll on my own, with my beloved hubby, and with friends. Almost every time I am here – including today’s story -, something special happens. Once when I was sitting by the little stream, for example, a dragonfly would come and sit on my bare foot to enjoy the last sunrays of the day, fly off from time to time and come back again. Mostly, she sat on my foot when she could have chosen to sit anywhere. I do have pictures of the encounter but thought you may not be that interested in seeing my foot 😜.

Greetings from Klöntalersee

Ahhhh, surrounded by green and blue.

My soul and body need both on a very regular basis. I actually crave for it everyday and that is why we are planning on having it whenever. Green forests, blue water. I do love deserts, too, though. It is nature with her sounds, her rhythm, her calmness, her seasons, her learnings, her beauty, her colours, and her rawness, that sparks my fire within.

South up North

We travelled north to finally see three outstanding musicians with their program “Süden” – meaning south in German. It took more than six hours by train to get to the Bavarian city of Regensburg, but their friendship mirrored in their music, their heartwarming and inspiring words and songs, their focus on humanness, the Hang instrument played by Kälberer (one of the musicians), and the beautiful atmosphere they created was more than worth it. They finished their first tour five years ago with a grande finale in the Arena di Verona/IT – yes, we missed it :0( – but luckily took it up again this summer. What’s more, they will have a Süden II tour next year. Tickets are already ours for this one….

Greetings from St-Ursanne

I just spent a wonderful time in a region of Switzerland I did not know very well so far, the Canton of Jura. It is a french-speaking canton bordering France in its west.

We were based in a rebuilt barn at the end of a winding road leading through a forest up in the hills surrounded by forests, meadows, and cows.

Here is just a little greeting from the village the barn politically belongs to – St-Ursanne. Rest assured to see more of the region soon.

Have a wonderful weekend!
